Personal Data Protection
The My-TRAC project is committed to the protection of personal data. The policy on "protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions" is based on Regulation (EC) N° 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000.
Your personal data will thus be processed in conformity with the above-mentioned Regulation.
For the implementation of My-TRAC social sensing module, CERTH collects publicly available tweets published by random authors for discrete dates and locations. The tweets are processed exclusively for scientific purposes by being labelled as one of the following four categories (i.e. commuting, personal, leisure, uncategorized), in order to derive information about the user’s preferences. After the automatic annotation of the data, the tweet’s text is deleted and only the correspondence (in percentage) of the user with each one of the categories of preferences is stored in an anonymised way.
